About

'Destination Havant 'Ville - Departing Waterloo' began life at the start of 2005 as 'Hobo Tread', missives from random lower-league football to give me (Skif) something to do whilst exiled in the North.

Since returning to the south of England, I have fallen back into the bosom of my beloved Havant & Waterlooville. I am not the only H&W fan in London, and my fellow London Brancher Adam Cole has provided not only lifts to midweek home fixtures (cheers, Sarf Lahndahn!) and excellent company on train (and plane) rides to away games, but also the occasional written piece for the site whilst on his travels abroad.

Another world traveller is our good pal Adrian Lord, a Hawk currently stationed in South Korea. Yes, we have a Korean branch, one which has kept us in a steady supply of material from exotic locations around the globe.

We also have supporters stationed in the enemy territory of Eastleigh. One of these, Mark Cooper, has also provided words for these pages.

Our final contributor, Ben Woolhead, is our non-Hawk cuckoo in the nest. A Newcastle fan stationed in Oxfordshire, he has provided material from a number of grounds, including his forays into the Scarf & Vest League, known to most functioning humans as the Southern League Division One South & West. He also once provided words, in collaboration with Jonathan of the Crinklybee site, on a Football League fixture which finished Stockport County 2 Rochdale 7. Couldn't really let that pass without comment, could they?

Thanks for reading.
